Welcome to my watercolor website !
This is my first website and it is still under construction, so come back often and see what I have added. The paintings you will see are originals and are my first public display since I began painting in watercolor only about 2 years ago. I have been painting in oil for about 25 years, but decided to learn watercolor because I thought it would be easier and faster, because oil paint dries slowly and is fairly complex in it's application. As it so happens, watercolor requires a great deal more skill and forethought than I was aware of. I was looking forward to less drying time and faster results, but I now know that there is no easier way to create superior results. Each medium requires patience and lots of practice. Diamonds yield their beauty only after tremendous pressure and time has worked on them, and so it is with creations of art. The final result is worth the effort !!! | Simple materials ( carbon ) and ( pressure ) will eventually create diamonds and other gemstones of dazzling beauty and fire when polished and perfected into splendid, precious works of art ! So it is with simple materials such as ground pigments, paper, canvas, brushes, patience and above all, a willing and creative mind just like the creator of all things; a work of one's own soul can spring forth to delight the eye and stir the spirit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I urge you to try painting in watercolor, oil, acrylic,pen and ink, or drawing and begin the attempt with a positive attitude and a "can do" frame of mind !!
